Northern California Nurses Receive Retroactive Pay
According to The Insider, AFGE Local 1206 has succeeded in obtaining a class settlement for all RN's and LPN's due to the agency's failure to promote RN's and LPN's through the Back Pay Act. This class Grievance was triggered by Luz Fuller, AFGE Local 1206 president and RN who, despite her 8 years of federal service and having a Master's as a Nurse Practitioner was receiving entry-level pay. The success of this local speaks volumes of how the dedication AFGE has to achieve just and fair treatment for our VA employees.
